A festive hedgerow liqueur made by steeping wild foraged Hertfordshire sloes in limited edition festive Spirit of Hertfordshire gin, then adding a dash of sugar. The sloe, fruit of the blackthorn tree, is sour in its natural state, but comes alive as part of this sweet concoction. We use sloes of all vintages - some picked fresh this season for zesty berry juiciness, and some steeped for up to 10 years to extract deeper woody spices and notes of almond and vanilla. This rich purple gin liqueur is an undisputed Hedgerow Classic and festive essential.

This gin is distilled with freshly picked rose petals, inspired by the Cathedral’s iconic Rose Window and by Saint Alban’s legendary association with wild roses.
Alban gin’s delicate spiced aromas come from cardamom, clove and cinnamon, flavours taken from the Alban bun – the original hot cross bun – first invented in St Albans in 1361 and still popular today!
